About
As an Activity Assistant volunteer you will provide assistance only as needed, assisting staff with interactive and therapeutic programming while respecting the independence of residents. Activities may include the following: bingo, table or floor games, crafts, woodworking, exercises, group outings, special meals or snacks, entertainment, seasonal events, and cooking or baking alongside AHS staff. Duties may include but are not limited to: assisting with set up and clean up of space and supplies; accompanying patients/residents to and from the activity; and assisting with facilitation of the activity. Active engagement with the residents throughout the activity is integral.
