Creativity. Activity. Service.
CAS has three strands. An experience may support one or more of them, depending on what you actually do and how your school recognises it.
Creativity
Create, design, perform or develop ideas through an experience that matters to you.
Activity
Take on physical experiences that challenge you and support your wellbeing.
Service
Contribute to a community or cause through meaningful action and collaboration.
CAS experience or CAS project?
They are not automatically the same thing. An activity or experience may support one or more CAS strands, while a CAS project has additional expectations around planning, collaboration, reflection and learning.
Read the official IB CAS project guidanceFind it. Do it. Keep it. Use it.
Find something meaningful. Do the work. Keep the moments and evidence that matter. Use them when you reflect on CAS or later when you need to tell the story of what you did.

Are Uni X activities CAS-approved?
No. Uni X helps you find current opportunities. Your school decides whether an experience is suitable for CAS.
Can an experience support more than one CAS strand?
It may. An experience can involve Creativity, Activity, Service or a combination. Your school and CAS coordinator decide how it fits your programme.
Should I ask my CAS coordinator first?
Yes. Check before relying on an activity for CAS.
What should I keep after the activity?
Useful evidence, moments and reflections that help you remember what you did, contributed and learned.
